My appointment with Jenna on 9/27 was exactly one year since my very Traumatic jaw surgery; It was very hard for me. I did not color or cut my hair in over a year. I did not know how emotional I was going to be at my appointment with Jenna. She paid such close attention to me and to my needs you handled me professionally yet so lovingly.
Thank you for all your time and your attention to me Jenna as well as to my hair and personal needs. I felt like I was part of your family as you tended to me. It was easy to chat with you. You listen very well. I get you enjoy what you do, it shows!

Jenna has the ability to landscape my hair like she was painting a Monet piece—with color, texture, harmony in balance. She does her job with excellence and she can explain very clearly the science of my haircut. Ohhh the new salon is gorgeous!!! Super stylish and comfy. Just where you want to go to beautify. I’m one of the lucky few who found an incredible stylist at a young age- unfortunately I moved away! “I cannot find enough words to express my experience with Jenna. I have battled with my fine curly hair forever! I actually had an afro in my younger days! I also have spent years blowing it out straight which was a real pain. If there was a little bit of humidity in the air it would just become a ball of frizz! Over the years I have experimented with many products and hair stylists. Then I learned about the Deva Cut. Curly hair has to be cut DRY! I found the Deva Curl Salon while living in New York and learned quite a bit. In the past, I was never happy with a cut because the stylists weren't knowledgeable or trained to cut curly hair! After the cut, when your hair dries, the curls are healthier, bounce up and your hair is much much shorter than anticipated! There are stylists everywhere who are certified through Deva Curl Salon. I have learned that some say they are but they are not truly certified. Well, Jenna is a MASTER. She was the original owner of L'Atelier and sold it to Megan who was a stylists at the salon. Jenna has trained her staff and is so passionate about hairstyling. She first consulted with me to learn about what I like, don't like and what my vision was. She offered her opinion and we both came to an agreement. She advised me to take things slow! I wanted more layers in the back since my hair wasn't curling much and seemed flat and straight. She was concerned about leaving it too thin on the bottom and creating a hole so she took it slow and cut a few long layers. I had told her I was not much of a fan of the Deva products (been there, done that), so she suggested I try the Kevin Murphy products. I was so amazed a the final results! My hair never felt and looked so healthy! To my surprise, she scheduled me for a follow-up at no charge the following week. She wanted me to do my own thing and decide if I wanted any changes. She even gave me samples of all the Kevin Murphy products she used, so I can try them out at home! To try and make this short......I went back and we decided to layer it a bit more and Balayage with lowlights. I am so in love with my hair now! I can't stop touching it! It's truly a miracle! Jenna is even more knowledgeable, understanding, patient and skilled than the stylists I met at the Deva Curl Salon in New York. I had said to her, "You should be the one out there training stylists on how to cut curly hair!"

"I was in town visiting family and Jenna was recommended to me. After a week of sun and surf damaging my hair I was due for a trim and repair treatment. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The salon itself is warm and welcoming, lots of natural light and refreshing beverages. I was impressed with the quality of great products. Jenna was really helpful in letting me tell her the look I was going for and she was able to make it happen for me with great suggestions and pointed questions to ensure my look was what I wanted, (and that it looked amazing once finished). I wanted fringe and she really dialed me in. Before I left, she stuck a sticker on me that said "I am beautiful" I strutted back to my hotel with my fresh hair on-point! I am already looking forward to my next visit back to Santa Cruz and seeing Jenna!”
